General instructions for setting up email accounts

1 For most users (shared hosting)

  • In the following examples, please replace your-domain.com with your own domain name

1.1 SMTP (Outgoing Server)

  • SMTP server name: mail.your-domain.com
  • SMTP port: 587
  • SMTP use SSL? No
  • SMTP Authentication: Yes
  • SMTP username: (your full email address)
  • SMTP password: (your own password)

Microsoft Outlook by default use port 25 to send messages but the port 25 is blocked by most ISPs. Please don’t forget to change the SMTP port to 587 and enable SMTP Authentication.

1.2 POP3 (Incoming Server)

  • POP3 Server name: mail.your-domain.com
  • POP3 port: 110
  • POP3 use SSL? No
  • POP3 username: (your full email address)
  • POP3 password: (your own password)

1.3 IMAP Server

  • IMAP Server name: mail.your-domain.com
  • IMAP port: 143
  • IMAP use SSL? No
  • IMAP username: (your full email address)
  • IMAP password: (your own password)

2 For Dedicated hosting customers

  • use these settings if you have a dedicated server
  • Everything is same as above, except you must Enable SSL


SMTP (Outgoing Server)

  • SMTP server name: mail.your-domain.com
  • SMTP port: 465
  • SMTP use SSL? Yes
  • SMTP Authentication: Yes
  • SMTP username: (your full email address)
  • SMTP password: (your own password)


POP3 (Incoming Server)

  • POP3 Server name: mail.your-domain.com
  • POP3 port: 993
  • POP3 use SSL? Yes
  • POP3 username: (your full email address)
  • POP3 password: (your own password)


IMAP Server

  • IMAP Server name: mail.your-domain.com
  • IMAP port: 995
  • IMAP use SSL? Yes
  • IMAP username: (your full email address)
  • IMAP password: (your own password)

3 Advanced SMTP settings

  • Some country or corporate firewall could blocked the default SMTP ports.
  • In this case, you can try the following alternative ports
    • SMTP port 587 (either SSL or Non-SSL, must enable User Authentication)
    • SMTP port 465 (SSL only, must enable User Authentication)
    • SMTP port 2525 (Non-SSL only, must enable User Authentication)
